For the first time in the history of the brand, Nike created products designed for the performance needs of pregnant athletes. Launched in 2020, the collection required a thoughtful and thorough overhaul of traditional product communications. Through extensive research and consultation with experts, I was able to craft a messaging toolkit that was both sensitive to and factually accurate about pregnancy, postpartum, and breastfeeding — while also highlighting traditional apparel features like sweat-wicking materials, pockets, reversibility, and discretion panels.
